The 4th annual InnovaIT Competition invites you to dream up an innovative Mobile or IoT App and join other mobile app development enthusiasts to bring your app ideas to life.
The annual IT Innovation Competition is a faculty-led event that seeks to foster technology entrepreneurship and innovation among undergraduate students in the Midwest region (Marquette University, University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, WCTC, etc.). Participating students will come up with an innovative technology idea that has a good commercial opportunity and pitch their idea in the first round.
10 finalists are selected after the initial proposal submission to build working prototypes of their solution of choice. Students can either form teams or work as individuals to build a working prototype of the idea through a series of “hack-a-thon” sessions, tutorials and individual work. Majority of the participating students usually have very minimal programming experience at the beginning of the journey.
As they work on their startup projects, with support from their faculty mentors or industry coaches, they gain practical experience regarding how to solve real life problems through applied theory.
